This is a good probe of how a person ranks values. Especially, values expressed generally in their culture. The question is abstract so there can really be no answer that is the answer. However, if a persons answer excluded any reference to or concern for those who have been hurt ( for me that often refers to the native populations of Canada) or are hurting which includes the mentally ill,the physically homeless, my friends who are suffering in silence and others then my concern for that person deepens. I don’t know if you know of something like a “Humanity Scale” or not. This probe seems like a good way to get clean data from a person. Yesterday, the first day of a campaign, a candidate was asked to resign and did who had written hurtfully and dismissively about several other groups. How the hell she was ever accepted in the first place is shall we say puzzling! Great to “talk” with you on this vital perpetual subject.
