Wouldn’t You Agree? #19 The Biggest Double Standard
Q: What is the biggest double standard we can have?
A: To feel it is okay to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the truth or even lie to others, but be fully justified in going ballistic if they do it to us.
Wouldn’t you agree?

I believe stretching the truth is not always a bad thing if it inspires morale which in turn provokes positive inspired actions. As a leader I feel it is sometimes necessary to embellish the current reality in order to achieve the true set goal. I believe a leader must project confidence and unwavering faith in things yet unseen regardless of the current state of affairs in order to keep the team moving forward with faith and conviction that it can be done.
As far as others lying, I generally welcome it. When you operate from the truth, lies and deceptions become very obvious, which gives you the upper hand and let’s us know exactly where things stand. If someones lies to you once, the second one is sure to come soon after, as it must, to cover up the first!
Great article as usual Mark, very informative!
Thank You.
