I do agree that diminished ability to think for oneself is the greatest handicap. An additional handicap (which may actually be one reflection of that primary handicap) is that hovered-over children may become more likely targets for bullying wherever it is not fully controlled. Bullies, or children tending in that direction, may see hovered-over children as weaker or as defenseless when away from their parents. I emphasize, however, that the several types of “susceptibility” should be a non-issue in schools, homes, and all settings where children are present. Adults have an absolute responsibility to identify and effectively stop all forms of bullying. Effective responses must include both stopping the behavior immediately and teaching children, especially those who bully, the value of ethical, socially responsible behavior.

What i don’t realize is actually how you’re not actually much more well-liked than you might be right now. You are so intelligent.
