Does it occur to anyone else that those “mom and pop” small business owners may have been justified in feeling anxious about selling “risky” financial products. The sale of risky financial products has trashed our national economy, so it is no wonder people feel anxious about selling more of them.

Perhaps their anxiety is a valid warning about not getting involved with spurious products like the credit default swaps the big boys were gambling with — using other people’s money.

The anxiety could be a useful sign warning of a questionable ethical situation. Rather than trying to lessen the anxiety, it might better to listen to it, be warned, and avoid dangerous future problems.
