the secret to peace of mind
Until you forgive and let go of the bad that’s keeping your mind and life locked in the hold — or worse, begrudging — position, you will be unable to let in the good that will revive, replenish and reinvigorate you.
Interestingly when I ask audiences the question about committing to doing something if they agree with the word (forgiveness) I am about to tell them being the secret to peace of mind, nearly everyone raises their hand.
Next, when I ask how many of them need to forgive someone, nearly everyone again raises their hands.
Then when I ask how many of them also need to ask forgiveness from someone, half the audience raises their hands while half doesn’t
When I point out that those who raised their hands about needing to ask for forgiveness are relationship material while those in the group who didn’t, are not; I become someone that the non-hand raisers get to practice their forgiveness on.
BTW forgiveness means letting go of your negative feelings towards someone who has hurt you, it does not mean giving hurtful people who have hurt you a second to do it again.
